It's okay to not be okay.
Suffering is a universal part of the human experience. Many of us grapple with very human struggles: finding meaning in life, managing intense emotions and thoughts, connecting with others and maintaining healthy relationships, living in the present moment without being haunted by memories of the past or worries about the future, and arriving at a place where our lives are dictated by us and our values, rather than by traumas and other stressful life experiences. Whatever brought you here today—know that you are not alone, and you needn't continue suffering alone.
It's okay to ask for help.
You may already have insight into your problems but don't know how to translate your knowledge into effective steps toward change. Or you may feel completely out of control, overwhelmed, or stuck. You may have spent lots of time, effort, and energy trying to solve your problems on your own, with little success. Perhaps you have tried to change but repeatedly revert to your old ways. You may feel hopeless about the possibility for change, misunderstood, or isolated. If this is you, it may be time to get guidance on your journey toward healing and growth. You and I will explore the ways you would like and need your life to be different. Together, we will collaboratively develop and apply a unique plan that creates those changes to decrease your suffering and achieve your goals.

about me
My name is Mariah Sinden, and I'm a mental health counselor offering individual counseling for adults. I came into this profession because I have battled and overcome numerous mental health struggles of my own with the help of therapists like myself. Friends and colleagues have called me compassionate, insightful, and easy to open up to—qualities that also steered me toward this profession. Nothing
gives me greater fulfillment than utilizing these strengths to
help others heal and grow. I hope I can do the same for you.
